Camino - Day 1--Porto to Vilarinho

I do love travel guides!

 According to the one i took with me - today we made at least 20 km 12 km!!!!(my mistake: I posted distance from Porto, but we did take a metro train and killed 8 km this way) , the guide book was very strict suggesting on leaving hotel very early because of the long haul to Vilarinho.
Well -we could not leave early - Julias backpack did not come from the Geneva where it was lost the day before. So early in a morning we went to the airport and tried scary tactics on their LOST AND FOUND agents.

 I am not sure that it worked but we did get her luggage around 11 and started our Camino at 1pm.

All walking today took ...3 hours...all 20 km 12 km...Hm-m-m maybe we will have a time for the beach afterwards.

The only bad result of late starting was inability to find an accommodation in Vilarinho - everything was already taken. We really played with an idea of sleeping on a mattress on a floor when- suddenly- the woman came along and took us to her house *not for free, BUT WHO CARES!!!!!! We walked way to fast today man! i was so-o-o wrong!


The scenery was gorgeous all way.
